Trainee program for students

Since we are looking for young, promising and dynamic people to join our team, at the end of 2021 we launched the Trainee project aimed at 4th and 5th year university students with a technical focus. After participating in this program, students have the opportunity to gain their first professional knowledge and experience under the supervision of the best and for a financial reward. The goal of the project is to ensure a smooth transition for students from the academic environment to real practice. During the duration of the Trainee program, the student is assigned a personal mentor who accompanies him, guides him and teaches him to perform individual professional tasks, starting with the easiest and gradually increasing difficulty. A graduate of this program is able to join the professional team of Regada, where he becomes a full-fledged part of the team. In the first phase, the student rotates through individual departments of the company, which allows him to get to know the company as a whole, establish contact with potential colleagues and decide which department is closest to him from the point of view of performing the future work. The second phase is aimed at determining a specific assignment, which is chosen based on an interview with the company's management. Upon completion of the program, the student is offered an employment contract with an interesting salary and other employment benefits if the work results are good.

The Trainee program, in its pilot phase between December 2021 and May 2023, produced its first Regada graduate, who was a student of the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies located in Prešov of the Technical University in Košice, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After successfully passing the state exams and defending the diploma thesis, the student was offered an employment contract and is currently part of the team of the Sales Department of Electric Servo Drives, where he was assigned the position of Technical Sales Support. In this case, the student used the combination of the Trainee and the SPICE program, which enabled him to work on the topic of the Diploma thesis from the company environment. All these aspects led to the maximum utilization of the opportunities offered for gaining experience, building a future employment position and building one's expertise. The diploma thesis was focused on the reconstruction of molds for castings made by pressure casting, using reverse engineering technology, and in the faculty competition ŠVOČ FVT TUKE 2023, it received the award for good cooperation from the chairman of the Association of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies.

Reference to the Trainee program by Daniel Hajtinger, the first graduate of the program

During the summer months of 2021, I participated in the offer of the Trainee program of the Regada company even before entering the 4th year of the Faculty of Production Technologies located in Prešov, belonging to the Technical University in Košice. I started gaining my first experience from December of that year. The initial months were characterized by rotation among individual departments within the company, in order to get to know the environment, the company's operation, employees and processes. From about June 2022, I became part of the Technical Department, where my task was to ensure auxiliary work in the creation of 2D and 3D technical documentation, under the leadership of Mr. Ing. Kuropčák and Mr. Ing. The final one.

With the beginning of the last, 5th year of university studies, in my case, the Trainee program and the university internship under the name SPICE were combined, which allowed me to work more intensively and also to choose the topic of my final diploma thesis. It was developed on the topic Reconstruction of aluminum die casting molds using reverse engineering techniques. Gradually, I managed to develop a complete 3D documentation for the form of castings of the bottom covers of the UP 1 series servo drives. In January 2023, I was offered the opportunity to work as technical sales support for the sales department, where I joined full-time after successfully completing my studies at FVT. The Trainee program is thus an ideal opportunity for gaining first professional knowledge and experience already during your studies and earning your first job.
